Anderson Craft Ales

Anderson Craft Ales is a family owned business, opening soon right beside the Junction Climbing Centre on the fringe of Old East Village on Elias (just off Quebec) in London Ontario.

Gavin Anderson is the Head Brewer and Owner first got a taste for brewing when he got a brewing kit from his father when he was 19 years old. It was when Gavin volunteered for a brewery in Kentucky while completing his PhD in Microbiology, that the passion grew into more than a hobby and made him rethink his career path. Gavin got a job as the Head Brewer for a start up microbrewery, Petite-Sault in New Brunswick, there he spent a further two years where he won one national and four regional awards for his beers.

Gavin is currently in the process of opening up Anderson Craft Ales in London Ontario with help from his Family, Caomhan McNally and Pete Jones. Caomhan the Sales and Marketing representative, moved to Canada five years ago from the Beer loving Island of Ireland, he describes himself as an easygoing guy with a love for trying new beers and the great outdoors. He's responsible for Sales directly to bars and restaurants as well as events, community involvement, marketing and social media at the Brewery.

Pete Jones the Brewer a graduate of the trail blazing Niagara College Brew-master and Brewery Operations Management program came to Anderson having worked at two powerhouses in the Craft Beer Industry, Muskoka Brewery in Cottage Country and Mill St based in Downtown Toronto.

Anderson Craft Ales is launching with two beers that will be the mainstays for years to come, an IPA and an Amber. The IPA a fan favourite with craft beer drinkers has refreshing citrus and tropical notes with flavours of melon, grapefruit and passionfruit coming through strongest. Perfect for an afternoon on the patio or pairing with spiced foods such as Cajun, Indian and Mexican.

The Amber is a great beer for those that have never had craft beer before with a IBU of only 30, Ruby Red colouring and enticing combination of Toffee, Caramel and Biscuit and can be paired with virtually anything from Pizza or BBQ to Seafood.

The Brewery will be open to the public, where you can drop by for a tour, a beer in the taproom or simply to pick up some of our brews to enjoy at home. They will have 6 packs of the IPA and Amber, along with growlers of specialty brews that will be on tap in the Taproom. A Wheat beer and a Brown Ale are in the works along with Seasonal's that will be offered quarterly to bars and restaurants around the city, the first of which being an Oktoberfest beer set to be launched in September.

Anderson Craft Ales also has an indoor mezzanine that looks over the entire brewery and is available for private events and functions.
