Make The Most of Father's Day
For a lot of people, deciding what to do for Father's day can be relatively straight forward, however what if you are still stuck on what to do for this coming Father's Day, or what if there is a lot of unpredictability? There is no need to worry, we decided to compile a blog to make sure that you give your father the best Father's day yet!
To start of Father's day, we recommend you head to a local breakfast spot in London, personally our two favourite spots are The Early Bird located on 355 Talbot St, and Johnny's located on 1910 N Highbury Ave, both of these destinations give you a lot of food and a great environment to start off the day right. You can also check out more local breakfast destinations under our restaurant category, or by clicking here.
After you are both full, it is time to explore the city, and the great news is that there is a lot to do! If you feel like you are in the mood to support a fundraising event, 'Do it For Dad's Run' begins at 10:00am and ends at 2:00pm, this run is raising money to fund research of prostate cancer and the registration fee is $35.
If you feel as though you would like to take a different route, try heading to the local park to take a walk, and catch up with your father. Springbank Park offers a long paved trail, mature trees, and it runs a long the Thames River. Another option however could be to take a hike instead of a walk. With Medway Valley Heritage Forest and Sifton Bog full of mature trees and off trail paths, it is the perfect place to catch up and bond in the great outdoors. We recommend you don't spend too long hiking or walking however, because at 12:00 the Beer and BBQ Show located on 900 King Steet opens for their last day, and it runs all the way until 5:00pm, this makes the perfect spot for a good lunch. With a number of local barbecue and grill experts, craft beers from all around Ontario, live music and set up booths, you are sure to have a great time.
After spending the morning and afternoon with your Father, it might be time to say goodbye, however if you are still looking for things to do try heading to one of the many local restaurants in London, and enjoy the beautiful night. You can check out local restaurants by clicking here.
Wishing everyone a Happy Father's Day tomorrow!
